High Quality Food Sweetener Saccharin Sodium
Saccharin sodium, also known as sodium phthalate sulfonate imide, is a synthetic sweetener commonly used in the food industry. It is the earliest artificially synthesized non nutritive sweetener used, soluble in water, with a sweetness of 200-500 times that of sucrose in a dilute solution. When concentrated, it has a bitter taste. When heated under acidic conditions, the sweetness disappears and can form a bitter o-aminosulfonylbenzoic acid. It is used as a sugar substitute for patients with obesity, hyperlipidemia, diabetes and dental caries because of its low calorie, non absorption, and automatic excretion with urine and urine. In addition, it can also be used as a brightener for electroplating nickel chromium, a blood circulation measuring agent, a penetrating agent, etc., and has a wide range of uses.

The food industry uses sodium saccharine as an additive in various products. Sodium saccharine is used as a non-nutritive sweetener and stabilizer in a variety of food and drinks. Bakeries use sodium saccharin to sweeten baked goods, breads, cookies and muffins. Artificially sweetened diet drinks and sodas use sodium saccharin since it dissolves readily in water. Other products that contain sodium saccharin include marzipan, plain, sweetened and fruit-flavored yogurt, jams/jellies and ice cream.
In terms of sweetness, the anions decomposed from saccharin sodium have a strong sweet taste, while they do not have a sweet taste in their molecular state, causing them to feel bitter. Saccharin sodium has a high solubility and dissociation, resulting in a strong sweet taste. Sodium saccharin will slowly decompose after boiling, and if used in an appropriate proportion with other sweeteners, it can be closer to the sweetness of sugar. When its concentration is relatively high, it has a bitter taste. Heating saccharin sodium under acidic conditions will lose its sweetness and form bitter o-aminosulfonylbenzoic acid. This substance is colorless, stable in performance, and is not easily absorbed by the human body due to its low calorie content. However, it can be excreted from the body with bowel movements. Therefore, saccharin sodium is used as a substitute for sugar in patients with obesity, hyperlipidemia, and other conditions.
