Hesperidin has a molecular formula of C28H34O15, a relative molecular weight of 610.55, a melting point of 257 to 260°C, and an optical rotation of -70°. The molecular structure of hesperidin contains multiple hydroxyl groups, which are acidic and hydrophilic, and are flavanones of flavonoids. Hesperidin A phytochemical contained in the pith of unripe oranges and other citrus fruits, earlier known as vitamin P due to its effect on the brittleness of capillary walls, and its chemical constituents glucose and rhamnose The complex with hydroflavonoid hesperetine has been found in recent years to have pharmacological effects such as lowering blood pressure, anti-allergy, lowering bone density and cholesterol, changing enzyme activity in the body, improving microcirculation, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-hepatitis, and anti-tumor.

Function:
1. Hesperidins has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hypolipidemic, vasoprotective and anticarcinogenic and cholesterol lowering actions.
2. Hesperidins can inhibit following enzymes: Phospholipase A2, lipoxygenase, HMG-CoA reductase and cyclo-oxygenase.
3. Hesperidins improve the health of capillaries by reducing the capillary permeability.
4. Hesperidins are used to reduce hay fever and other allergic conditions by inhibiting the release of histamine from mast cells.The possible anti-cancer activity of hesperidins could be explained by the inhibition of polyamine synthesis.
5. Orange Flavone has the properties such as unique aromaticity, good water bath, and obvious pharmacological action.
6. It can excite the heart and shrink the blood vessel, and then causes the hypertension.
