Momordica grosvenori extract is called monk fruit extract,it is mainly composed of the fruits from Momordica grosvenori, which is often used as a natural sweetener. Siraitia grosvenorii extract is a yellowish to almost white powder. The taste is extremely sweet, with a sweetness 240 times higher than that of sucrose. The sweetness is close to that of sugar, with a slightly similar aftertaste to licorice.
Momordica grosvenori contains non sugar sweet components, mainly triterpenoid glycosides: mogroside V and IV, with the sweetness of glycoside V being 256-344 times that of sucrose (srcross) and glycoside IV 126 times that of sucrose.
