Theobromine powder is extracted from cocoa beans or cocoa bean shells. It's generally used in diuretic medicine. The melting point of cacao powder theobromine is 357 ºC, and it sublimates at 290~295 ºC. The solubility in water is about 0.05%, in hot water about 0.66%, in 95% ethanol about 0.045%, soluble in alkaline solution and concentrated acid.
