Function
D-ribose is a natural component of the biological memory in all cells. It is closely related to the formation of adenylate and the regeneration of ATP. It is one of the most basic energy sources of life metabolism. It plays a key role in the metabolism of heart and bone collateral muscle, and can promote the recovery of ischemic tissue and local hypoxic tissue. D-ribose is an important component of nucleic acid, which plays a pivotal role in the metabolism of nucleosides, proteins and fats. ATP is the "energy currency" of cells. During intense exercise or disease, ATP is broken down faster than it is synthesized, and its concentration drops. Other studies have found that ribose does not restore ATP during intermittent high-intensity exercise.
