Cordyceps sinensis comes from Ophiocordyceps sinensis (Berk.) G.H. Sung, J.M. Sung, Hywel-Jones&Spatafora. Cordyceps sinensis is a unique Chinese herbal medicine. It is listed as three major supplements alongside ginseng and pilose antler. It is recorded in ancient Chinese medicine books. The main ingredients are cordyceps polysaccharide, three paste, etc., which can tonify the kidney, benefit the lung, stop bleeding and dissipate phlegm.
It is mainly used for kidney deficiency, sperm loss, impotence, waist and knee pain, chronic cough, asthma, hemoptysis and other symptoms. Cordyceps sinensis is listed in the "Red List of Biodiversity in China - Large Fungi Volume", and the protection level is vulnerable
