Function:
• In mammals, β- Nicotinamide mononucleotides are generated from nicotinamide (Nam) under the catalysis of Lampt (a protease in vivo), and then nicotinamide mononucleotides are catalysed by nicotinamide mononucleotides adenosine transferase to produce NAD+. Nicotinamide mononucleotides are a direct way to supplement NAD+. Nicotinamide mononucleotides significantly enhance the repair ability of DNA damage in cells, ultimately achieving the effect of reversing aging.
• Nicotinamide mononucleotides are converted into "nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD)" substances essential for energy metabolism in the body. In mouse experiments, it was confirmed that nicotinamide mononucleotide can activate a gene called acetylase in the body, so as to play a role in prolonging life and treating diabetes. NAD is a substance that can be produced by the human body, and research has confirmed that the content of NAD in the body decreases with age.
Application:
(1)β- Nicotinamide mononucleotides are precursors of NAD+, a cofactor of longevity proteins in the human body. NAD+is an important coenzyme in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, promoting the metabolism of sugars, fats, and amino acids, and participating in energy synthesis; NAD+is also the only substrate for coenzyme I consuming enzymes (the only substrate for DNA repair enzyme PARP, the only substrate for longevity protein Sirtuins, and the only substrate for cyclic ADP ribose synthase CD38/157).
(2)NAD+is involved in all aspects of human metabolism and is a key coenzyme. Without NAD+, metabolism will not work. Elderly people lack NAD+, leading to various problems, large and small. Additional supplementation of NAD+can comprehensively combat aging. Pre clinical studies have shown that NMN has a variety of pharmacological activities in heart and brain ischemia, Alzheimer's disease, type 2 diabetes and obesity caused by diet and age.
