Lemon belongs to the Rutaceae citrus woody plant. The branches have few thorns or are nearly thornless. The young leaves and flower buds are dark purple. The leaves are oval or elliptical. The petals are lavender on the outside and white on the inside. The fruit is oval or oval.

 

Lime fruit stalk is thick and short, and the fruit is spherical, oval or obovate, usually 4-5 cm in diameter. There is a short papillary tip on the top of the fruit.
