Benfotiamine is an organic compound with the molecular formula C19H23N4O6PS, molecular weight 466.45, chemical name: benzoic acid sulfur 2- [(4-amino-2-methyl-5-pyrimidinyl) methyl] formamido] -1- [2- (phosphoroxyethyl) -1-propenyl] ester, and appearance is a white crystalline powder.

Solubility: insoluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether. Soluble in sodium carbonate. Thiamine ≤ 0.1%, heavy metals ≤ 20ppm, moisture ≤ 1.0%, melting point 200 ºC.Phenylthiamine is a lipid soluble derivative of vitamin B1. In addition to its physical and chemical properties that differ from water-soluble vitamin B1, its structural difference lies in its open thiazole ring, which forms physiologically active vitamin B1 through closed-loop action in the body.

Phenylthiamine is a lipid soluble derivative of vitamin B1, which improves the low bioavailability of water-soluble vitamin B1 and increases the concentration of thiamine in blood and tissues, thereby improving therapeutic efficacy.
