Schisandra chinensis is a deciduous woody vine in the Schisandraceae family. The underside of the young leaves is pubescent, and the leaves are membranous, broadly elliptical, ovate, obovate, broadly obovate or nearly round; the flowers are pink-white or pink, oblong or elliptical-oblong; the small berries are red. , spherical or obovate, with indistinct glandular spots on the pericarp.
