Fenbendazole is a light brownish gray crystalline powder.slightly soluble in general organic solvents, insoluble in water. Odorless and odorless, it is a benzimidazole type insect repellent, also known as oxfenidazole, oxfenidazole, bisulfonazole, and benzimidazole. It is a sulfoxide form of benzimidazole and is a white or almost white powder at room temperature, with a slight special odor. It can damage the microtubule structure of intestinal worm epithelial cells and inhibit the uptake of glucose by the worm from the intestine. Ofendazole is used for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal adults and larvae, and has good effects on the treatment of roundworms and pulmonary worms in pigs, cattle, and sheep, including OstertagChemicalbookia, Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Cooper, Capillaria, Oesophagostomum, Chabertia Trichuris and Dictyocaulus, among others.
Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole type insect repellent, which not only has high insect repellent activity against adults and larvae of gastrointestinal nematodes, but also has good effects on nematodes, flukes, and tapeworms, as well as strong egg killing effects.Sheep: Adults and larvae of Haemonchus ovis, Osteria, Trichostrongylus, Cooperis, Leptostomum, Chabertis, Esophagostomum, Trichocephala, Dictyostomum There is efficient. It has a good repelling effect on the tapeworm extensa moniezia and monitzia beinii. For trematodes, a large dose is required, such as 20mg/kg for 5 consecutive days, the effective rate against Bicoelum lanceolata is 100%; 15mg/kg for 6 consecutive days, it is highly effective against Fasciola hepatica.
Cattle: The anthelmintic spectrum for cattle is roughly similar to that for sheep. For trematodes, a higher dose is required, such as 7.5-10mg/kg for 6 consecutive days.
Horses: It has excellent effects on the adults and larvae of paraascaris equine, equina acinus, viviparous plaustella, common rounded nematode, strongyloid nematode, strongyloid equine, and small round nematode.
Pigs: It has a good deworming effect on adults and larvae of Ascaris suum, strongyloides suum, and esophagostoma nematode. It also has a significant killing effect on crown worms when used continuously for 3 days at 3 mg/kg.
Dogs and cats: Oral administration of 25mg/kg to dogs has obvious effects on hookworms, hair head nematodes and roundworms. 50mg/kg for 14 consecutive days can kill roundworm larvae in the migratory stage; 3 consecutive days can almost drive away tapeworms. The therapeutic dose for cats is 3 days, and it is highly effective against cat roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms.
Wild animals: Oral administration of 5 mg/kg for 3 to 5 days to deer infected with Osteria nematodes, Coopera nematodes, C. Tapeworms also play a role. For all kinds of carnivorous raptors seriously infected with poultry roundworms, saw nematodes, capillary nematodes and trematodes, taking 25mg/kg dose for 3 days is effective against almost all of the above worm.
