Selen ium sulfide is an antifungal medication. It prevents fungus from growing on your skin. Selen ium sulfide topical (for the skin) is used to treat dandruff, seborrhea, and tinea versicolor (a fungus that discolors the skin). Selen ium sulfide topical may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Selen ium Sulfide has the function antifungal, anti-sebum spilling effect. Selen ium Sulfide is used to treat tinea versicolor, head seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, and multicolor snake skin. The formulation is a suspension. Can be used as an antidandruff agent in shampoos. The maximum allowable concentration in cosmetics is 0.5%.
