It is easily soluble in ethanol and ether. Lipoic acid, also known as lipoic acid α- Lipoic acid. Natural lipoic acid is a white crystal with only R configuration, and only R configuration lipoic acid can covalently conjugate to lysine residues through amide bonds to perform coenzyme functions.
