Spirulina powder is made of fresh spirulina through spray drying, screening and disinfection, and its fineness is generally above 80 mesh. Pure spirulina has a pink and dark green color, giving it a smooth feel. Spirulina that has not been screened or added with other substances will have a rough feeling.
Spirulina is a class of lower plants belonging to the phylum Cyanobacteria. Like bacteria, they do not have a true nucleus in their cells, so they are also known as cyanobacteria. Under a microscope, its shape can be seen as a spiral filament, hence its name.
