Introduction:
Black ginger (Kaempferia parviflora, KP) is a member of the ginger family that grows naturally in Thailand. The rhizome of KP is widely used in traditional medicine to treat diseases and symptoms. Typical high-performance liquid chromatography of Kaempferia parviflora root ethanol extract were found to have 5,7-dimethoxyflavone (DMF), pentamethoxyflavone (PMF), and trimethoxyflavone (TMF) as major phytochemicals. As its nutritional and powerful benefits to the body, it is also known as Thai ginseng. 
5,7-Dihydroxyflavone is a chemical with molecular formula:C15H10O4, which is a raw material for the synthesis of anticancer, hypolipidemic, anti-cardiovascular disease, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs.
