High Quality Feed Grade Chromium Nicotinate 99% Chromium Polynicotinate Powder

Chromium(III) nicotinate is a kind of smoke gray fine powder, which is relatively stable at room temperature and insoluble in water and ethanol. Chromium in it is 3+. In industry, it is mainly used as feed additives, medical and health products, food additives, etc. Its function is to promote animal growth and development, accelerate production speed, and promote protein synthesis.

Laboratory preparation method:Weigh 124g (1mol) of niacin and place it in a 1000ml beaker. Wet it with 100ml of water, adjust the pH to around 8.0 with 6mol/l NaOH, and heat it to 80 ºC. Weigh 88g (0.33mol) of CrCl3 · 6H2O into a 500ml beaker, add 300ml of water, heat it to dissolve and raise the temperature to about 80 ºC, pour it into the above sodium nicotinate solution under stirring, wash the beaker with a small amount of water, merge it into the above reaction solution, adjust the pH value to 6.8~7.2 with 6mol/l NaOH under stirring, add water to the total volume of 900ml, and cool it to room temperature. Filter by suction, wash the filter cake with water, then wash it with ethanol (95%) once, filter by suction, volatilize the ethanol at room temperature, and then fully dry it at 110 ºC to obtain 140g of gray Chromium(III) nicotinate (III).
