Beta alanine can promote the production of carnosine to achieve the effect of muscle enhancement;
It can strengthen muscles, relieve fatigue and enhance exercise endurance.The supplement of β alanine can increase the carnosine level is more obvious in the trained muscles than in the untrained muscles of athletes. Therefore, the carnosine of the arm (deltoid) muscle group of canoeists is more than that of the leg (soleus+gastrocnemius) muscle group, while the opposite is observed in cyclists. Compared with non swimmers, the levels of carnosine in deltoid muscle and gastrocnemius muscle of swimmers increased significantly. These findings suggest that training status and/or exercise training itself may be determinants of carnosine load, but whether these effects are due to acute exercise and/or chronic adaptation of training remains to be determined.
