Phosphatidyl serine powder is mainly derived from soybean extracts and is an important membrane phospholipid found in bacterial, yeast, plant, and mammalian cells. Phosphatidylserine is a naturally occurring ingredient in food and is also present in breast milk. Meat and fish both contain phosphatidylserine, with higher levels in the brain or internal organs (such as the liver and kidneys).
Phosphatidyl serine (PS) is composed of the following components:
1. Phosphatidylcholine; PC<15% Actual value is about 13.1%
2. Phosphatidylethanolamine PE<15% Actual value is about 11.0%
3. Glycerol Phosphatidic acid; PA<10% Actual value is about 9.4%
4. Phosphatidylinositol PI<10% Actual value is about 4.0%
