Mandelic acid is also called mandelic acid (originally extracted from bitter almonds). It is a kind of high molecular weight fruit acid that can accelerate the metabolism of skin cells. Mandelic acid has certain antibacterial and whitening effects.

DL-Mandelic Acid is an aromatic alpha hydroxy acid with the molecular formula C8H8O3.It is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water and polar organic solvents. It is a useful precursor to various drugs. Since the molecule is chiral, it exists in either of two enantiomers as well as the racemic mixture, known as paramandelic acid. Mandelic Acid is a colorless chemical, flake or powder solid, light color, slight odor. Soluble in hot water. In the pharmaceutical industry can be used for intermediate methyl benzoylformate, cefamandole, vasodilator Cyclandelate, eyedrops Hydrobenzole, cylert etc, also can be used as a preservative. Used as a chemical reagent for organic synthesis. Used as pesticide raw materials and intermediates, dye intermediates, etc.

(1). In the pharmaceutical industry can be used for cephaloxazole, vascular dilatation drug ring mandelate ester, eye drops hydroxybenzazole, pimorin and other intermediates, can also be used as preservatives.
(2). Mandelic acid is used as a preservative (urine). It is also used as a short-term exposure biomarker in the urine of workers exposed to styrene.
(3). Used as pharmaceutical raw materials and intermediates, dye intermediates, etc
