Lidocaine hydrochloride is is an organic compound with the chemical formula C14H23ClN2O,it is a white crystalline powder that is very slightly soluble in water.

1.Lidocaine HCI is a local anesthetic and antiarrhythmic drug. It is clinically used for infiltration anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, surface anesthesia (including in the thoracoscopy or abdominal surgery for mucosal anesthesia) and nerve conduction block.
2.Lidocaine HCI is an amide local anesthetic. With the dose increased, the role or toxicity increased, there is an anti-convulsive effect with sub-poisoning plasma concentration; Blood concentration of more than 5μg • ml-1 can occur convulsions.
3.Lidocaine HCI in low doses can promote outflow of K+ in cardiomyocytes, reduce myocardial autonomy, and has antiarrhythmic effects.  Increased plasma concentration may cause slowing of heart conduction, atrioventricular block, inhibition of myocardial contractility and decreased cardiac output.

1. Lidocaine hydrochloride  is used as a local anesthetic.it is widely used in surface anesthesia, anesthesia, conduction anesthesia and epidural anesthesia.
2. Lidocaine hydrochloride is used in creams and lotions to soothe areas of inflamed skin or for example in hemorrhoid preparations to reduce discomfort; used by doctors to anesthetise areas prior to surgery, often avoiding the need for a general anesthetie; used by injection after a heart attack to treat some rhythm disturbances.
