Acesulfame Potassium Acesulfame is a food additive with chemical name of potassium acetylsulfonate, also known as AK sugar. It is a white crystalline powder with strong sweetness, which is about 130 times as sweet as sucrose. Its taste property is similar to saccharin, and it is soluble in water.

Acesulfame has stable chemical property, which can increase the sweetness of food. It has no nutrition, good taste, no calories, and low price; It has no cariogenic property, no metabolism and absorption in the human body (it is an ideal sweetener for middle-aged and elderly people, obese patients and diabetic patients), and has good heat resistance and acid resistance. It is the fourth generation of synthetic sweetener in the world. When mixed with other sweeteners, it can produce a strong synergistic effect.
