What is Trans Resveratrol?

Resveratrol was discovered as early as 1924 and was first isolated from the root of Veratrum grandiflorum in Japan in 1940.

In 1976, RES (resveratrol) was also found in grape leaves, which is an antitoxin secreted by plants in the face of adversity or pathogen invasion. Its synthesis increases sharply when exposed to ultraviolet radiation, mechanical damage and fungal infection, so it is called phytoalexin. Res have been found in more than 700 plants, including 72 species of 31 genera and 12 families. Res are found in grape, knotweed and peanut, among other human foods.
