The extraction methods of pumpkin seed oil include solvent extraction, hot pressing, supercritical fluid extraction, and cold pressing. The pumpkin seed oil extracted by solvent extraction method must undergo refining (6 dehydration process) before it can be consumed, and the refining process inevitably destroys the natural components in pumpkin seed oil and reduces the nutrition in pumpkin seed oil.
